Just outside the city, Northwest Houston and the Energy Corridor are home to several Fortune 500 offices including Shell Oil Company, BP America, and ConocoPhillips.
Not just for business, the area also offers fun and unique experiences. There are great restaurants including Eddie V’s Prime Seafood, Le Mistral, and Patagonia Grill & Cafe. Just ten minutes east of the Energy Corridor, Memorial City Mall offers 1.7 million square feet of shopping, more than 50 restaurants and dessert shops, and family-friendly events at The Square every week.
For more family-friendly fun, there’s Topgolf, iFly and K1 Speed. K1 Speed is one of the largest indoor go-kart racing tracks in the country. The 50,000 square-foot facility offers room to race up to nearly 45 mph. And if you still have a need for speed, head up to Sam Houston Race Park, which offers both live and simulcast racing, as well as concerts and events.
For a relaxed vibe, head over to the Energy Corridor’s Farmers Market on Saturdays for baked goods, fresh fruit and other goodies. Or meander through the 20,000-acre Bear Creek Pioneers Park – with a free zoo featuring bison, emus, donkeys, sheep and a bird enclosure.
