Things to know before you go
- Denver is 5,280 feet above sea level – one mile high! Drink plenty of water and allow time to adjust to the higher altitude, especially for sports activities.
- Six RTD light rail lines connect Downtown to outlying areas. An airport line is scheduled to open in 2016. There’s also an extensive bus network, plus a free shuttle along the 16th Street Mall.
- Denver B-cycle is a shared bike program with multiple pick-up and drop-off stations around town. Swipe your credit card to enjoy the city’s 850 miles of paved, off-street bike trails.
