Things to know before you go
- Public transportation in Toronto is reliable – buses, streetcars and the subway cover a fair amount of the city – but can get a little crowded, so give yourself more time to get to and from places. There are day, week and month passes that allows unlimited travel across all types of transportation.
- Aim to tip 15-20% to taxi and restaurant bills before adding on tax. Some places will automatically charge for the tip in larger groups.
