This season marks the final season for the Texas Rangers at Globe Life Park, previously known as the Ballpark in Arlington. If you’re looking for something to do this summer, seeing a Texas Rangers game at Globe Life Park should be on the top of your list, and we’ve narrowed it down to our top 5 reasons why!

The Legacy of Globe Life Park

First opened in April of 1994, this season serves as a bittersweet time for Texas Rangers fans. Be a part of the farewell tour this summer by enjoying a day out at a ballgame and reminiscing the priceless moments celebrated in this stadium; including an All-Star Game, two World Series, seven division titles, four “American League Most Valuable Players” and more!

A year from now, the Rangers ballpark will be moving across the street to Globe Life Field featuring state-of-the-art facility including a retractable roof! However, that doesn’t take away from the ballpark we’re saying goodbye to. After all, it is the home of great moments like Adrian Beltre’s 3,000th hit, Pudge Rodriguez becoming one of the greatest catchers ever, and Sammy Sosa’s 600th home run. This ball park is one to see before the new legacy begins.

Friday Night Fireworks at Globe Life Park

Fireworks on 4th of July is our favorite part of the summer, but why should we only celebrate on one day? Friday nights are an excuse to make your way over to Arlington for post-game fireworks. No matter where you sit during the game, you have a chance to move up and around for your favorite view of the sparks once the game ends.

Food, Drinks, and Entertainment at Globe Life Park

As if the ballgame wasn’t enough to bring you to the game, the food game is a home run! From The “Boomstick” a 7-pound chili dog topped with Texas state flags as décor, to the “7th Inning Cinnamon Roll,” a deep-fried roll smothered in raspberry sauce, there’s something that will get the whole family excited.

If you’re a healthy eater, you have even more of a reason to make your way to Globe Life Park with a vegan stand! How many times can you say you went to a vegan stand at the ballpark? We recommend the black bean tamales!

If you are a drink lover, we haven’t forgotten about you! Apart from the collection of craft beer, Globe Life is offering Frosé! What better way to enjoy a summer baseball game than with a frozen rosé in hand!
