With the rise of world tourism and accessibility to new places, choosing a beach to go on vacation is not as simple as it seems, which is why it’s important to know what Los Cabos offers the next time you find yourself planning a vacation. Located in Baja California, and with easy access via ferry to Puerto Vallarta, Los Cabos is an excellent beach destination where you can have a very nice beach vacation.

Los Cabos is made up of Cabo San Lucas, San José del Cabo and El Corredor. From the Arc in this spot of Baja California, you can see where the Sea of Cortez meets the Pacific Ocean. A true aquarium in plain sight, with an enviable climate, makes Los Cabos worth visiting. But the best reason above all is its spectacular coastline, and here we share some of the best beaches you can only find in Cabo San Lucas.

Medano Beach

Of the most popular beaches and where you can surely cool off and have a blissful time is at Medano Beach. This area includes several hotels, and offers a variety of restaurants and water activities, including canoeing and paragliding. The only negative point about it is that given its great popularity you can run into many street vendors.

Love Beach and Divorce Beach

Love Beach and Divorce Beach are two sides of the same coin. To get to these beaches you must take a taxi boat. Love Beach is found on the side that touches the Sea of Cortez. Its sand and turquoise waters will captivate you and you can also appreciate rock formations. It is recommended not to swim in Divorce Beach, since the strong currents of the Pacific Ocean are quite dangerous, but you can sit back and enjoy its magnificent view.

Chileno Beach

Awarded with a Blue Flag from the Foundation for Environmental Education for the quality and purity of its waters, you will want to spend all day at  Chileno Beach. Also, unlike Playa Medano, there aren’t many street vendors, and it offers an area with showers and bathrooms for your comfort and convenience.

Santa Maria Beach

Similarly, Santa María Beach is a perfect natural sanctuary for swimming and diving. As it is a largely undiscovered and unpopulated beach, you will not find many restaurants and amenities, therefore, you must set up your own picnic. Also be sure to wear a cap because you won’t find much shade either.

Solmar Beach

If you are interested in a beach with good waves for surfing, among the first on your list should be Solmar Beach. However, the currents are very strong and you are urged to take great caution before entering the water, so it is not surprising that access is sometimes restricted. This Pacific beach also offers you the possibility to see whales during the winter season.

Cueva Tequila Beach

The Hilton Los Cabos Beach & Golf Resort offers you the best attention and service and access to a semi-private beach, Cueva Tequila Beach, where you can swim and spend the day with your family and friends. If you are not looking for a beachfront hotel, the Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Los Cabos located in El Corredor offers you easy access to different beaches, golf courses, shopping centers and bars in the area. If you are looking for an ultra-luxurious holiday in an idyllic destination, we recommend the Waldorf Astoria Resort at Pedregal.

Beaches in San Jose del Cabo

In San José del Cabo, make sure you rest and relax at Palmilla Beach, one of the best beaches for swimming. At Costa Azul Beach, you can swim, surf and enjoy good food and drinks at Zipper’s Bar & Grill. This beach is known for its surfing competitions. In Cabeza de Ballena Beach you can take the children to play, build sand castles,  swim and just enjoy a relaxing day with the family.

Beaches in El Corredor

If you want to visit beaches along El Corredor, surfers recommend Monumentos Beach and Acapulquito, where the atmosphere is very bohemian. Las Viudas Beach is ideal for those who collect shells or are interested in seeing volcanic rock formations, and although it is a bit rocky, you may take a dip too.

With so many beaches to choose from, Los Cabos is the ideal destination to find a sanctuary with crystal clear waters and soft white sands. You just have to relax and enjoy the sea breeze to recharge your batteries, making it an ideal place to take a nice vacation with your family, friends, or partner.
