While many love to visit Chicago in the summer months, the holidays are a beautiful time to visit the city. There are holidays lights and festive decorations wherever you look, great places to ice skate downtown, incredible window shopping, and tons of fun ways to celebrate with kids. Jenna McFarland from Hey, It’s Jenna road tripped in with her family for a weekend of holiday magic.

They stayed at the Hilton Chicago, centrally located on Michigan Avenue and walking distance to State Street shopping and Millennium Park. The hotel, decked out with holiday cheer, even offered weekend cookie decorating and a chance to see at the giant cityscape made of gingerbread. With Hilton Chicago as their hub, they were able to checkout some of the holiday activities happening in Chicago, returning to the hotel for some time to unwind and fun at the pool.

Jenna and her family were able to experience Navy Pier’s Fifth Third Bank Winter WonderFest while they were here. The festival is an indoor winter wonderland that boasts rides, holiday décor, and photo ops with Santa.
