The Tampa/St. Pete area should not be taken for granted when it comes to its contribution to the music industry. In fact, artists like the southern rock band Outlaws, gospel singer and pastor Brenda Jefferson, and super pop star of the 90s and 2000s, Aaron Carter, are all of the Tampa Bay area and have all reached mainstream success. With these facts, it’s no surprise that the city’s music scene is continuing to not only grow, but to thrive as well.

Every year, there are official music festivals all throughout town – not too far from our many Hilton hotels if you need a place to stay while you’re visiting. The festivals focus on a variety of genres, so regardless of your personal preference, there’s surely something for every music lover to enjoy.

For instance, there’s the Rockstar Energy Drink Disrupt Festival, which was held just this June at the MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheater. The Rockstar Energy Drink Disrupt Festival made stops all across the country and featured artists like The Used, Thrice, Sleeping With Sirens and more for only $20! Then, throughout the year, there are other festivals, including the Conga Caliente, which focuses on Latin music, celebration and even Latin cuisine; there’s the Sunset Music Festival, which features dozens of different types of artists and saw 50,000 participants last year alone; and the Gasparilla Music Fest, which is held in downtown Tampa and is actually done in support of music promotion and celebration in the city. Gasparilla Music Fest 2020 will be March 7th and 8th, and early bird tickets go on sale next month, so make sure you’re standing by!

Regardless of the type of music you like to groove to, there’s a festival in the Tampa Bay/St. Petersburg area that’s worth your while, and a Hilton Hotel that fits your needs. Get out of the house this season and explore some of the music you love with the people you love more!
