Food lovers rejoice! Orange County’s original food hall – the Anaheim Packing District – will be hosting their annual World Taste of Anaheim on November 13th. In celebration of this event, we have teamed up with Hilton to take a quick tour of this foodie mecca and find the top things to eat at the Anaheim Packing District. Whether you’re visiting for World Taste, in town for Disneyland® Resort or local to Anaheim, if you’re looking for a place to start, follow our Best-of Guide for our suggestion on what foods you can’t miss while you’re here.

ADYA – Fresh Indian Flavors

For incredible flavors and inventive bites, start your tour at ADYA, owned by the most recent winner of the Food Network’s show “Chopped” winner, Shachi Mehra. ADYA serves delicious classics like palak paneer and tikka masala but make sure to also try the refreshing Watermelon Chaat and Sev Puri. The Watermelon Chaat is a simple (and surprising!) light appetizer topped with mint, red onion, fennel and lime. This is the perfect combo of sweet, savory and crunchy! The Sev Puri are wheat shells stuffed with chickpeas, yogurt, tamarind, and topped with crispy sev. All the flavors and textures worked perfectly with one another. ADYA is wonderful for those who love traditional Indian food with a western twist.

Black Sheep GCB

Warning! This is not your average grilled cheese sandwich! For the ultimate in comfort food, be sure to check out Black Sheep GCB for their take on the classic grilled cheese sandwiches. Consider this a grilled cheese’s older and more sophisticated sister and potentially, the best grilled cheese you’ll ever have. Everything on their regular menu is stellar but whenever available, be sure to check out their seasonal offerings for a taste of something really unique. For this Thanksgiving and for World Taste, Black Sheep will be offering “The Gobbler.” This mouthwatering delight, which includes turkey, avocado and sweet cranberry sauce, melts in your mouth with each bite. It is the perfect way to celebrate Thanksgiving early, without having to cook anything.

18 Folds

Find the perfect Instagram shot at 18 Folds, specializing in modern Chinese food. If you’re like us, you crave dim sum practically all the time and whenever a ride to SGV is simply not an option, get your fix right here in the Packing District. Upon entering their restaurant, you can watch cooks cut, roll out, stuff and make 18 folds on their dumplings. Their BBQ Pork Buns are phenomenal – the bread felt like a soft and fluffy cloud, and the pork filling is juicy, tender and savory. We also loved their Dragon Steak, which is grilled to perfection and served with a mildly spicy sauce. Dim sum dishes are perfect for trying a lot of things at once, just don’t forget to let your camera eat first!

Crepe Coop

We can never pass up a good crepe, and thankfully, the Packing District has them. If you’re craving something sweet or savory, you’ll definitely find something satisfying at Crepe Coop. Their crepes are made fresh right in front of your eyes, and stuffed with any topping you can think of, from Nutella, different flavors of ice cream, fruits, honey, cereal, whipped cream…the combinations are endless. The vanilla flavored crepe is crisp enough to hold all the ingredients inside, but soft and light enough to feel decadent with each bite. You cannot leave without trying the fall seasonal Coffee Cookie Monster crepe: the coffee gelato, cookie crisp cereal and chocolate drizzle will shock your taste buds.

Pandor Artisan Boulangerie and Bakery

If crepes aren’t your thing, make sure you don’t leave without your sweet treat and when you’re looking for that perfect ending to a delicious day, follow your nose to Pandor. The sights and smells make for a real treat and it’s easy to get distracted by the beautiful pastries in the case. Try one croissant (or 10 – it’s totally worth it, and take them home or back to the office if you must) but whatever you do, don’t forget the gelato. The Pistachio is creamy with a sprinkling of crunchy pistachio on top to add a nice color and texture. Or, you can order the Vanilla Bourbon, which adds a kick to your ordinary vanilla ice cream.  It tastes rich and decadent, and the strawberry drizzle topping adds a nice surprise.

Make sure to bring your appetite to the tastiest place on earth and experience all kinds of unique tastes and flavors from all over the world.  Find your next favorite meal at the Packing District, open year round in the heart of Anaheim.
