With autumn slowly creeping its way across Texas, Houston starts to shake off the heat in anticipation of our Fall Festivals. Music, food, art, live entertainment and more await you. We’ve cultivated a list of our favorite festivals for you below, so throw on your Uggs, grab a Pumpkin Spice Latte, and head on out!

Froberg’s Fall Corn Maze, Pumpkin Patch & Fall Festival – Alvin
The Tunnel of Fun, Corn Maze, Country Store, and Hay Ride await you at Froberg’s this fall. Snap pictures around the farm and pick a pumpkin or a few flowers along the way. Froberg’s is open year round, but the Fall Festival is from Sept. 28 – Nov. 3.

Texas Renaissance Festival – Todd Mission
Nothing says fall like one of the largest renaissance festivals in the world: the Texas Renaissance Festival. Each weekend boasts a different theme along with turkey legs, mead, deep fried cheesecake, and tons of food, activities, and photo ops! If you’re super hardcore, take a walk on the wild side and camp on the fairgrounds with your brethren for a weekend you’ll never forget. Open Oct. 5 – Dec. 1.

Conroe Cajun Catfish Festival – Conroe
Mudbugs are the word every second weekend in October. A 30-minute drive north of Houston will put you square in Conroe for their Conroe Cajun Catfish Festival, a weekend-long extravaganza of non-stop live music, food vendors, arts and crafts vendors, exhibits, and even a Catfish Pageant. This year’s festival is Oct 11 – 13.

Festa Italiana – Houston
When you’re at Festa Italiana, you’re family – everyone is family! Enjoy live musical performances, laugh at this year’s rendition of ‘Tony and Tina’s Wedding’, marvel at the Zoppe Family Circus, and eat until you pop. Stop by Oct. 10 – 13.

Katy Rice Festival – Katy
Downtown Katy erupts each fall with three days of excitement and family fun. Expect a carnival, live entertainment, music, crafts and food booths, and more to keep you and yours busy for hours. Oct. 11 – 13.

Bayou City Art Festival – Houston
Featuring the works of 300 artists from 19 different specialties, the Bayou City Art Festival is one of the ‘Top Outdoor Fine Arts Festivals’ in the nation! Engage with delicious food, live music, and art your whole crew will enjoy. Oct. 12-13.

ArBOOretum 2019 – Houston
Grab your costumes and get the kids together for the Arboretum’s biggest family event of the year! ArBOOretum features fun fall activities for all ages including live animals, pumpkin decorating, and Houston’s only Trick-or-Treat Nature Trail. Oct. 19

Island Oktoberfest – Galveston
Grab your lederhosen and the largest bier stein you’ve got and swim on over to Galveston Island’s annual ‘Island Oktoberfest!’ Three days of music, dancing, kiddo activities, authentic German food and more await. Oct. 25-27.
