Within the unforgettable events will be Ilumínale los pies al muerto (Light the dead’s feet), a mystical nocturnal walk with lamps, that leads to Cerro del Picacho’s top. Many legends surround the place, and contribute to create a vivid remembrance of the festival. This event will be performed on October 27th, at Cerro Muerto.

Another great event is the Grand Parade of Calaveras. You may be able to see it on November the 1st. Its topic is Con la música en los huesos (With the music to the bone), and it will start at the evening.

To complete the festival’s 25th anniversary experience, two delightful events will join the calendar: Música para el Paladar (Music for the Palate), an event that consists of a Chocolate Calavera National Contest, and Música para la Garbancera (Music for the Catrina), the National Marching Band contest.
