If you’ve ever been to Philadelphia, you know that Phillies fans are some of the most devoted fans in baseball. And it’s hard to beat the dance moves from their mascot, the Phillie Phanatic.  Looking for ways to celebrate the start of the baseball season with a bang? Look no further.

Get in Shape for Phillies Season with the Phillies 5K

Who said the baseball players are the only ones who should be preparing for the start of the season? Each year, the Phillies Charities 5k  has events to keep the whole family entertained, all in support of the charitable arm of the Phillies organization.

The race starts and finishes on Phillies Drive and always hands out some pretty awesome prizes to top finishers. The 5k is always in high demand and generally sells out, so be sure to register early.

Arrive Early at Citizen’s Bank Park for the Full Fan Experience

There are so many things to do once you arrive at Citizen’s Bank Park, you’ll want to make sure you leave enough time to check it all out. A must-see for any baseball fan is the Phillie’s Wall of Fame in Ashburn Alley. The wall features Phillies legends like Tug McGraw, Curt Schilling, and Mike Schmidt. If this is your first Philly’s game, especially if you’re visiting with kids, it’s always fun to get a commemorative first game certificate from guest services.

The Phanatic Phun Zone, located near first base, has plenty of fun activities for the kiddos and the Hatfield Phanatic Hot Dog Launcher is always a hit as well. Don’t forget to stop by one of the park’s fan stores to pick up any last-minute gear.

Dig In to Food at the Park

While traditional ballpark food brings up memories of hot dogs and cotton candy, the food at Citizen’s Bank Park is anything but boring. Fans agree that you can’t leave the park without a bucket of fries from Chickie’s & Pete’s® Crabfries®. In the mood for a cheesesteak? Stop by Tony Luke’s in Ashburn Alley. Looking for a cold brew to wash it down? Brewerytown has several locations throughout the park. Some of the best local breweries are right in the park, making for a fun and delicious experience. Celebrate a Win at Xfinity Live!

There’s no better way to celebrate a Phillies win than to be surrounded by a group of Phillies fans. Xfinity Live! is located right across the street from Citizen’s Bank Park and as such, you can expect it to be packed after any game. But Xfinity Live! isn’t just a simple bar. It’s a huge complex with multiple bars, big-screen TVs, a full-service menu, and the truly, one-of-a-kind experience that is NBC Sports Arena.

If you didn’t get a chance to take in everything at the stadium before the game, now’s a good time to do it. Xfinity Live! offers free parking one hour after the event ends meaning you’ll have a little time to kill.

Coming to town for a Phillies game? Make a night of it and book a stay with Hilton. Better yet, weekend like a local and take in a whole series!
