If you love carnival rides, food, games and more, then you need to check one of the best things to do in West Palm Beach – the South Florida Fair. Located at the South Florida Fairgrounds on Southern Blvd., just west of the Florida Turnpike, this annual fair is a whopping 17 days of fun, beginning on January 17th and running through February 2nd.

Garlic aficionados wait patiently every year for the Annual Garlic Festival which hits John Prince Park in Lake Worth on Saturday, February 8th and Sunday, February 9th.  Known as the best stinkin’ party in South Florida, visitors are introduced to different foods such as garlic ice cream, can dance to the live music, or ride the rides until they are dizzy!


Golf fans rejoice because the Honda Class PGA Tour Event is around the corner!  Hosted by the PGA National Resort & Spa, this week long event showcases golf’s best competing for a $1 million purse.  Walk the greens, partake in the clinics, or just enjoy the Florida sunshine from Monday, February 24th through Sunday, March 1st.

Baseball fans have multiple places to go to enjoy Spring Training in February and March.  The St. Louis Cardinals and Washington Nationals will be hitting it out of the ballpark at the official FitTeam Ballpark of the Palm Beaches.  Watch the St. Louis Cardinals and Miami Marlins practice at Jupiter’s Roger Dean Stadium. If you love bacon and/or bourbon then you need to check out Wellington’s Bacon and Bourbon Festival March 21st – 22nd.  Located at the Village of Wellington Community Center, this 2-day event will immerse you in everything you can think of having to do with both.


Head down to Flagler Drive every Saturday between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m to peruse local vendors offering fresh produce, gourmet and specialty foods, coffee and tea, and so much more at the West Palm Beach Green Market. Enjoy the $10 unlimited mimosas, live entertainment, and wide-open spaces to relax and have some fun with your family, including your four-legged pals!

If you’re looking to enjoy the beautiful South Florida weather in the evening time, along with great entertainment, visit the West Palm Beach Waterfront.  Sunday on the Waterfront is a family-friendly concert series taking place on the third Sunday of every month from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday on the Waterfront is dubbed as one of the best things to do in West Palm Beach for free!

Clematis by Night is THE event to attend every Thursday night from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.  Enjoy food and drink specials, live music, and great people watching during what is dubbed as the “hottest local social scene, located at Centennial Square at the end of Clematis Street.

On the second Friday of every month, families gather for a fun night of activities and a movie.  Screen on the Green, located on the Great Lawn at the Waterfront Commons in Downtown West Palm Beach, is a FREE event that begins at 8:00 p.m.  Be sure to bring lawn chairs and blankets to relax and enjoy film.  Snacks and beverages are available for purchase at the concession stand.
