Located just outside of downtown, the San Antonio Missions National Historical Park consists of four missions that were built in the 1700s to expand Spanish influence to the North from Mexico. These structures were built in Native American towns in attempt to convert the natives to Catholicism and make them Spanish citizens. Not only is the park a ground for historical missions, but it also consists of 10 miles of trails.

Six Flags Fiesta Texas

La Villita

San Fernando Cathedral

Built in the 18th century, San Fernando Cathedral is the oldest standing church in Texas, and the first church built in San Antonio. Now one of the top tourist destinations in the state, this church was named after a 13th-century Spanish king who is credited for creating a peaceful coexistence in between Christians, Muslims, and Jews within the Spanish empire. Located on the Main Plaza, the San Fernando church is open for visitors daily from 6am to 6pm with Mass in both Spanish and English. Don’t miss the incredible light show on Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays and 9, 9:30, and 10pm!

San Antonio Museum of Art
