The Curtis Hotel in Denver has become a landmark of all things whimsy and fanciful in the city.  As one of Colorado’s most unique and imaginative hotels, we’re happy to report that they’re at it again with a complete renovation of their statement-making lobby. The Curtis brings outdoor adventure inside with its ode to the Colorado outdoors in this redesigned space.

We recommend grabbing one of their famous martinis at The Corner Office Denver and checking out the new space for yourself.  In the meantime, here’s our favorite five new experiences at the newly renovated  Curtis.

1. Deconstructed RV Replica

Inspiring guests to channel their inner-child, the new lobby features multiple colorful “playgrounds”.  The retro decor blends perfectly with the deconstructed RV replica that sits at the lobby’s entrance where the hotel asks guests to “unpack the power of the unexpected”.

2. Mini Drive-in Theater

Acting as a constant reminder that travel should be fun, The Curtis features a Red Rocks–inspired mural and a projection screen for movie nights.  It’s next to impossible not to have a smile on your face after walking into this hotel lobby and soaking up all of the playful nostalgia that’s been carefully crafted to inspire and delight.

3. Ski Lift Chair

Find the Colorado sunshine glowing behind a ski lift chair as you continue your adventurous journey through The Curtis lobby.  Rainbow ropes hang above the hotel’s front desk that imitate climbing ropes, a popular past-time of many Colorado natives and tourists alike.

4. Indoor Pool Facade

With a greenery sign that reads “No Skinny Dipping,” and is adorned with pink flamingos, you’ll feel like you’re on a tropical vacation while you send emails at the hotel’s community workspace, seated at a diving board themed table (naturally).

5. Instagram Moments Abound

At The Curtis, you’ll find something new and vibrant around every corner. The aesthetics of the lobby trigger memories of family fun, road-trips and summer’s starry-skies.  The Curtis is packed full of Instagram-worthy decor and it doesn’t stop at the lobby.  This pop-culture immersed hotel also features hyper-themed rooms.

Stop at the lemonade stand for a (regular or spiked) refreshment  and if you’re lucky head to your room on one of the many themed floors and rooms.  The 13th floor is not to be missed, especially around Halloween.
