When you set eyes on St. Lucia, you can paint the mountain peaks with a raised finger. While it may be hard to envision this otherworldly landscape as family-friendly, you may find yourself pleasantly surprised at the volume of child-friendly activities to enjoy while vacationing on the island. Here are all the fun things you can do when you visit St. Lucia with kids!
If you’re looking to spend a day in (or on!) the pristine waters of St. Lucia, head over to Rodney Bay. Spend the day touring the island by boat, or relax on the bay and take in the catamarans drifting off to sea.
Your little ones will agree that the highlight of Rodney Bay is Splash Island Water Park. This water park floats off the coast and boasts the ultimate aquatic obstacle course. Your kids can race each other to the end or climb to the top of the floating mountain, jumping off its peak into the friendly waters below.
Just north of Rodney Bay you’ll find Pigeon Island, where you and your family can enjoy the beach or set out on a trail through this national landmark. The journey up may be tiresome but completely worthwhile, as you’ll be rewarded with 360-degree views (and some stunning photos) of the island from the top of Fort Rodney.
This mountainous island makes the perfect backdrop for many waterfalls. After a bit of travel on the east coast of St. Lucia, you can enjoy the largest waterfall on the island, Sault Falls, which cascades 55 feet into a rocky lagoon. Stand alongside the waterfall and enjoy the cool mist of the falls while capturing some beautiful photos. Visiting Sault Falls is an experience the whole family will love, and surely never forget! Other waterfalls to explore while visiting St. Lucia include the Diamond Waterfall at the Botanical Gardens as well as the Piton Waterfalls and La Tille Waterfall.
