Home to Denver’s largest park, visitors of Washington Park will find a neighborhood filled with active young families, beautiful Victorian homes, brick bungalows and plenty of Denver’s favorite residents–dogs. Washington Park offers countless outdoor activities and a beautiful breath of fresh air within the confines of the city. This lush park has two lakes, one which features the Washington Park Boathouse and paddle boat rentals. Be sure to walk (or bike!) through the many exceptional flower gardens as you tour this expansive park.
Historic South Gaylord St. and South Pearl St. are the two best places to hit after a day at the park for cocktails, boutique shopping and a healthy blend of family-friendly and upscale restaurants. Both areas evoke a wonderful community-focused charm, housing many neighborhood coffee shops and specialty bakeries.
Farmers markets occur every Sunday throughout the summer, making Washington Park the perfect place to spend a sunny afternoon.
