Located to the west of the city, the Energy Corridor/Katy area offers fun and unique experiences the whole family can enjoy.
You’ll find great area restaurants including Eddie V’s Prime Seafood, Le Mistral, and Patagonia Grill & Cafe. For a relaxed vibe, head over to the Energy Corridor’s Farmers Market on Saturdays for baked goods, fresh fruit and other goodies. Or meander through the 20,000-acre Bear Creek Pioneers Park – with a free zoo featuring bison, emus, donkeys, sheep and a bird enclosure.
Just ten minutes east is Memorial City Mall which offers 1.7 million square feet of shopping, more than 50 restaurants and dessert shops, and family-friendly events at The Square every week.
Next venture to historic Katy, founded in 1985, just 10 minutes west of the Energy Corridor. Savvy shoppers will find great deals at the Katy Mills Mall. Katy is a fast-growing suburb of Houston with easy access to dining, local breweries and seasonal events and festivals. While you’re there grab a blanket and head to Movies in the Parks or visit the Katy Rice Harvest Festival in October.
