The University District, more commonly known as the U-District, is the area surrounding the University of Washington. Green Lake
Green Lake is a freshwater lake in the northern-central part of Seattle, and its surrounding park is perfect for runners, walkers, and bicyclists. It’s a beloved place to go for locals and visitors alike. Green Lake Park is a natural preserve for many species of plants and wildlife. In the springtime, you’ll see gorgeous cherry blossoms, and in the summer the boats are out on the lake. Throughout the year, the Green Lake community will host happy hours, festivals, and concerts. Come in the winter to be part of the annual lighting ceremony during the holidays.
