Instantly Iconic

With the trendiest restaurants, coolest bars, and hottest lounges, the West End is a hipster paradise. The Grand Dame of the district is Queen Street West, named by Vogue magazine as one of the coolest neighbourhoods in the world for its unique designer fashion, iconic bar scene, and eclectic stores. Locals know that the best place to catch their favourite band is at the intimate and legendary Horseshoe Tavern, or at nearby live music venues of the Cameron House and the Rex. From here, cross into Chinatown for some world-class dim sum and open-air fruit and vegetable markets. The district hosts a magnificent Chinese New Year spectacle each year, complete with parades and the famous Dragon Dance.

Lounges, bars, and craft cocktail houses line the streets of trendy Ossington. Watch a top-notch off-Broadway production at Little Ossington Theatre, then join the huge line-up of sweet seekers at iconic Bang Bang Ice Cream. Further west, families delight in child-friendly Roncesvalles (or “Roncey”), with its easygoing brunch spots, bakeries, and inviting toy stores.

Enjoy the great outdoors and burn off some energy in High Park, featuring 400 acres of parkland, lakes, playgrounds, and even a petting zoo. Tourists come from all over the world to witness the Sakura, or cherry blossom, in full bloom from late April to early May, but get there early to avoid the crowds.
