Puerto Vallarta, Mexico boasts to have over 26 miles of beaches but it didn’t take me long to realize that my little piece of paradise was right in front of Hilton Puerto Vallarta Resort located in the Bay of Banderas. The views from the resort allowed me to see the beautiful Sierra Madre Mountains, downtown Historic Puerto Vallarta in the distance and the most beautiful, tranquil sunset each evening.
My family spent the day swimming in the ocean, playing in the sand and shopping from local vendors that came by with everything from fresh seafood, clothing to beautiful silver jewelry. Tip: A simple smile and shake of your head saying no will work to turn the vendor away if you are not interested.
We enjoyed being able to access a variety of water activities that were able to be purchased right off the beach to the side of the resort including jetskis, banana boats and parasailing to name a few.
There were two large, inviting swimming pools in the middle of the resort with a smaller wading pool by the kids club. The incredible activities staff would rally a game of water volleyball each afternoon in one pool, while the other seemed to be a popular gathering spot of new friends.
Many times all-inclusive resorts have loud music and guests around the pool that aren’t inviting for families. I found just the right mix at Hilton Puerto Vallarta Resort that makes it conducive for travelers with children.
