Downtown Nashville is the hub of the entertainment that defines Music City. Visitors can experience world-class art at the Frist Center for Visual Arts, see a show at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center, hear world-class concerts at the Bridgestone Arena, and have a blast along Nashville’s Honky Tonk Highway. Starting from the west bank of the Cumberland River, downtown stretches west to the Vanderbilt campus and includes such sights as the state capitol, the state supreme court building, Third Financial Center and the Tennessee Convention Center. Don’t’ forget to stop by the world-famous Ryman Auditorium and catch a show in its hallowed halls.
South of Broadway’s honky tonks and neon lights is an area called SoBro (meaning South of Broadway). This area is home to the Music City Center convention center, hot new restaurants, attractions, and cocktail bars which have made downtown’s SoBro a must-see.
