This holiday season, start a new holiday tradition at Stone Zoo’s ZooLights. Follow whimsical tree-lined paths, lit by thousands of twinkling lights, creating the perfect winter wonderland setting for the zoo’s festive nightly event.

Visit with two of the zoo’s most famous residents and fans of the winter season, Smoky and Bubba the black bears. These two chums will greet you from their exhibit.

Stroll through the beautifully lit Yukon Creek and see bald eagles, Canada lynx, artic foxes and reindeer. Did you know reindeer could pull a load of up to 300 pounds? They have to be strong in order to help pull Santa’s sleigh, filled with toys for good little girls and boys. Meet some of Santa’s pals at the exclusive Holiday Hot Chocolate with the Reindeer event, before you enter ZooLights. Sip hot cocoa, nibble cookies and have your photo taken with the reindeer, all while learning fun facts during your up-close encounter with these holiday hooved heroes.

Don’t forget to visit Santa and get your picture taken with jolly ole Saint Nick. He’s waiting to hear what your heart desires this Christmas season.

ZooLights is open daily, 5:00pm – 9:00pm, now through New Year’s Eve. The event is closed to the public on Christmas Day. Visitors on December 14, 15, 21, and 22 can enjoy an extra hour of holiday cheer as ZooLights stays open one hour later, until 10:00pm.

Make the most of your trip to Stone Zoo and ZooLights and make a weekend out of your experience. Save up to 50% off Sunday night stays at select Boston area Hilton hotels when you book the Weekend Like a Local package.
