The magical world of Disney is undeniably the most popular destination within Greater Orlando. While the rides and iconic characters are top notch, Walt Disney World Resort also has plentiful dining options to satisfy every palate.
For an added bite of magic, spend extra time at the theme parks either before or after traditional operating hours with Extra Magic Hours. With a limited time program expansion, September 1 to November 2, 2019, guests staying at Disney Resort hotels can enjoy Extra Extra Magic Hours. Sounds like a good reason to book a staycation at Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek or Waldorf Astoria Orlando!

Be Our Guest Restaurant
Be Our Guest is one of the newer, not-to-be-missed dine in restaurants serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. It’s also among the places where you can find adult beverages (FYI, the Magic Kingdom does not openly serve alcohol throughout). Book a reservation to step into the Beast’s castle and enjoy delicacies right out of Beauty and the Beast. After ordering, take a magical rose to your table. That rose will help your food magically appear! During dinner, expect to meet the Beast. And, as Lumiere told Belle, “try the grey stuff – it’s delicious!”
There’s a scrumptious reason Casey’s Corner is a guest favorite. This quick-service eatery serves up all of your favorite baseball game classics – hotdogs, hotdogs and more hotdogs! However, these are not ordinary hot dogs. Delight in foot-longs, corn dogs, dogs topped with pulled pork and more. The options are endless and the flavor is on point. Step outside to listen to tunes or people watch as you feast. A great idea is to pick up food before one of the parades and snag a table for prime seating!
Tucked away in Adventureland, Aloha Isle is one of the most coveted places at Magic Kingdom. This is where the Dole Whip lives in all of its glory! Likely the most popular Disney treat, a Dole Whip is a pineapple soft-serve that is especially refreshing on sunny Florida days. Be sure to also try the Dole Whip Float, served with fresh pineapple juice. Time saving idea: Order via the My Disney Experience app and pick up as lines can get long as this cool hotspot.
A perfect date night spot if you don’t mind sitting at communal tables, Teppan Edo is a fun hibachi-style restaurant in the World Showcase’s Japan. Featuring delicious Asian flavors, this is a meal you will be talking about long after. Similar to other hibachi venues, the culinary team puts on a show while cooking. Teppan Edo also has an extensive sushi menu and an assortment of appetizers. Reservations are recommended.
Garden Grill Restaurant
If characters are your thing, Garden Grill is the place for you. Mickey and his friends will be there in farmer wear walking about the restaurant for your entertainment. Many of the food items are freshly-harvested from Epcot property ─ talk about homegrown yumminess! If you check out the ride Living with the Land, you can see a lot of the produce that is served at Garden Grill. Some might say the cucumbers here count as “hidden Mickeys.” A bit less healthy, also try Chip’s sticky bun for a sweet treat. Again, reservations are recommended.
Theme Park Festivals
Throughout the year, Epcot presents a variety of events and festivals with robust flavor elements. Of course, the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival takes top ranks! Definitely nosh at the many food booths set up around the World Showcase during these times because most of these bites are not typically available on-site. Festivals are the perfect excuse for a staycation as they allow you to experience the park in a different way than you normally would.
Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant
This 1950’s inspired restaurant gives you the unique experience of eating at an old drive in on Disney property. Old black and white films are shown as you slide into a vintage car with the dashboard set as your table. Munch on diner favorites like fried pickles and onion rings. The servers appear to be from another era and are fun to interact with. Try the BBQ burger and save room for dessert, like an old fashioned sundae which is great to share. Reservations are recommended.
The Hollywood Brown Derby
For a more upscale dining experience, make reservations at the Hollywood Brown Derby. The food is top of the line, fresh and beautiful. You cannot go wrong with anything on the menu here. This restaurant offers Disney’s Dine with an Imagineer where you can have an intimate dinner conversation with one of Disney’s creative minds! The most popular dish is the Cobb salad – yes, a salad – and it is THAT good.
Hollywood and Vine
Hollywood and Vine is a fantastic buffet in Hollywood Studios, and reservations are recommended. The reason it stays on the top of guests’ lists, besides the food, is because of its ever-evolving events and themes. During the holiday season, for example, you are greeted by Goofy Claus and his friends dressed in their holiday best. The month before Halloween, Minnie hosts a dinner dressed in her costume. Hollywood and Vine does these holiday dines throughout the year and the menu pairs accordingly. The food is not your typical buffet fare although they do have tenders, mac and cheese and fries for kiddos and picky eaters. The chefs take their time to prepare flavorful meals and offer a large variety.
Yak and Yeti Restaurant
Right by the thriller Expedition Everest awaits Yak and Yeti. The food here is bursting with Asian flavors and more. This reservation-recommended spot serves small plates so you can order multiple things to share. Savor the boldness of the firecracker shrimp, pot stickers and egg rolls. For a hearty bite, get a lo-mein bowl.
This flavorful quick-service restaurant is not a chicken finger joint. Rather, the dishes are boasting with African flavor. Think beef with tzatziki, flatbreads and tasty sides. The space is actually set up like a market with multiple line queues to order, which helps control lines and crowds. The venue theming makes you feel like you’re really in the streets of Africa, and you can often enjoy live music that’s playing nearby.
Perfect for healthy eaters and those looking for fresh options, this beautifully designed restaurant is located in Pandora. The dishes are made with mouthwatering spices and distinctive flavors. Try one of their combination bowls made with grains, fresh vegetables and meat of your choice.
