A new friend has arrived in the Hub and has been enjoying quite the journey as he makes his way to his new home at Franklin Park Zoo.

Boston Dino checked in to Hilton Boston Logan Airport the beginning of May, greeting new friends and guests along the way. After a long flight, short walk from the airport and a great rest in the hotel’s plush accommodations, our scaly pal set out to play tourist in America’s Walking City.

Boston Dino enjoyed the beauty of Boston Public Gardens where he found the iconic George Washington Statues and the world famous swan boats. He also waddled with some ducks at the Make Way for Ducklings statue in the heart of the gardens.

He then found his way to the Freedom Trail where he met a few friendly American Patriots along the way in Faneuil Hall. They took the time to point out some historical sites before treating Boston Dino to a proper New England lunch… a lobster roll, of course!

Boston Dino then got a little tired of walking but still wanted to see everything Boston has to offer. Our prehistoric friend boarded a historic amphibian, a Boston Duck Boat! The Boston Duck Boat took Boston Dino on a grand tour of Boston, past the State House on Beacon Hill and over to the Museum of Science before splashing into the Charles River for a unique and breathtaking view of the city.

Boston Dino has so much more to see before making his way to his new home at Franklin Park Zoo’s Destination Dino on Saturday, May 26th. Where do you think Boston Dino will visit next in the city? The Boston Ballet? Blue Man Group? Stay tuned… and follow the adventures of Boston Dino on Facebook and Instagram with Zoo New England.
