If you are considering a family vacation to Jamaica, Hilton Rose Hall Resort & Spa in Montego Bay has everything to keep parents smiling and the kids entertained. Our family of four recently returned from our stay at this all-inclusive resort, and the one thing that really stood out to us was the fact that we never even thought of leaving the resort. We had everything we needed (and more!) for a fantastic family vacation from start to finish.

For starters, the hotel is located fairly close (a quick 15 minutes) to the Sangster International Airport (MBJ) which means that you will spend less time getting to your final destination. And if you are traveling with little ones, you know how beneficial this can be! Within an hour of landing at the airport, you can be settled in at the hotel enjoying the beautiful view and all-inclusive dining. Once you are there, you won’t want to leave.

Hilton Rose Hall sits right on the beachfront of the 400-acre historic Rose Hall Plantation. The resort is nestled right next to the Cinnamon Hill Golf Course and along a private beach that feels endless. The property also includes several pools and even a top-notch water park.

Can you imagine coming down a water slide that literally delivers you right up to the pool bar where they have fantastic drinks for adults and kids alike? It’s true. And it’s fabulous.

I hadn’t expected this to be such a memorable part of our trip, but one of our favorite things about the water park was taking lap after lap in the lazy river with the kids.

So rarely do you get those moments to just slow down and enjoy each other’s company. If you are looking for this type of quality family time, I can’t recommend Hilton Rose Hall in Jamaica enough. The resort offers all of the excitement of a water park, and yet, it’s a very relaxed environment which allows for those moments that you always hope to share during family vacations.

When you can eventually pull yourself and the kids away from the endless river, you’ll find a wide variety of activities and dare I say, too many choices! Lounge beachfront on the pier or play in the sand. Enjoy a game of ping pong or shuffleboard or participate in the many on site activities. (Bingo, anyone?)

There is also the Soothe Spa for additional pampering and even a glass bottom boat if you are looking to go exploring out into the Caribbean Sea. All of this is enough to help you work up quite an appetite!

Hunger is always fleeting at Hilton Rose Hall because the food is plentiful and the options are many. Guests have their choice of seven restaurants, bars and grills. The Seaside Grill was our family’s favorite because the food is delicious and can be enjoyed right there on the beach. Fresh Restaurant was also a hit for the family because they offer delicious breakfast and dinner buffets all day long, including a late night snack that they served daily from 11 pm to 2 am. We never actually made it to the buffet, but my kids sure had a blast attempting to stay up that late!

The hotel offers some wonderful fine dining as well, and the Northern Italian cuisine at Luna di Mare was a real treat. While all elegantly served, it still feels very quaint and family style, as the staff is so welcoming and eager to make you feel right at home.

While there are a lot of big things that make Hilton Rose Hall fantastic, it really is the little things. It’s coming back to the room after a fun day of play to find the beds neatly made, folded towel designs and fun notes for the kids. It’s the Kidz Klub counselors who go out of their way to make your kids feel included and special. It’s not ever feeling like you have to be on anyone else’s schedule but your own, and knowing that no matter what your pace is, there will always be wonderful food and entertainment literally around every corner!
