Big FREE public events on December 31, 2019 can be found throughout the region. Live music, DJs, skating and dazzling fireworks displays, all make these must-attends for the whole family. Kick off the year at Nathan Phillips Square or Celebration Square in Mississauga. The New Year’s Eve Celebration in Brampton’s Garden Square features plenty of kid-friendly events like marshmallow roasting and an early fireworks show at 9 p.m.
Party With a View
Since the renovation of the main observation level is now complete, the CN Tower has an amazing new event space with spectacular views of the city and beyond. Floor-to-ceiling windows and a glass dance floor qualify this as the most unique party place for ushering in 2019. Cruise Into the New Year
Celebrate on the Toronto Harbour with a Gala Dinner Cruise. Let breathtaking views of the Toronto skyline lit up like a Christmas tree accompany your dinner and dancing. (207 Queens Quay West.)
Start 2020 with a splash! Ripley’s Aquarium hosts its annual 19+ New Year’s Eve shell-ebration with live music by The Dreamboats, food stations and cash bars, you’re shore to have a good time. (288 Bremner Boulevard.)
Run Into 2020
Try something different and ring in the New Year with a 5K run that starts on the stroke of midnight. Then celebrate 2020 with a post-race party! You deserve it. (Liberty Village neighbourhood.)
