Aruba, the island of happiness, is a popular destination among couples from all around the globe. The white sand beaches, beautiful blue water and relaxing environment set the most romantic tone in the Caribbean. Planning a trip to Aruba to celebrate the perfect honeymoon sounds like a dream, especially when you get to experience the best things around the island. Find out below how you can have the most perfect honeymoon in Aruba!

Top Accommodations

Picking the right hotel for your honeymoon can be a stressful situation. Afterall, you just want to have the absolute best vacation. However, when it comes to Aruba, staying at the Hilton Aruba Casino & Resort is a safe bet – you got the most beautiful pools, beach, spa and restaurants in the whole island. For starters, each room has its own balcony that faces the ocean and the resort so you can wake up to the prettiest sunrise views. The spa has all sorts of relaxing massages and treatments that are suitable for couples who seek that peaceful reward. Our favorite: the Aloe Vera, Rum and Stone Massage. When you are looking for a more thrilling activity, Hilton Aruba has got you covered. You can do some snorkeling and scuba diving – an activity you’ll enjoy even more with your significant other. At night, you can visit any of the many restaurants and bars at the hotel, including Sunset Grille, Gilligan’s Seafood Shack and Mira Solo Bar. Great dining is an essential component of the perfect honeymoon equation, especially when you can share that special moment within the same location of your stay.

Visit Arikok National Park

Part of having a perfect honeymoon is being able to take beautiful pictures to capture those unforgettable moments. Arikok National Park is exactly the place to do that. The park makes up an astounding 18% of Aruba’s total land, and offers a wide range of activities. You can drive an ATV – the preferred mode of transportation here – around the park, and enjoy the rugged terrain that makes it a thrilling ride. Take in all the beautiful cacti lining the park, and make your way down to the gorgeous natural pool for a refreshing swim. Head back into the park to find Quadiriki Cave, one of three large limestone caves to explore while in Arikok. Wrap up your day in the park by driving around and exploring the various secluded beaches and cliffs – we recommend checking out Dos Playas for some gorgeous views and photos! This has “perfect honeymoon adventure” written all over.

Snorkel at the SS Antilla

If you and your significant other want to take snorkeling and underwater adventure to the next level, you should visit the SS Antilla. You can first catch a catamaran tour from Palm Beach in order to get there. Soak up the views of the coastline dotted with hotels and enjoy the waves as you set out to the SS Antilla, one of the Caribbean’s largest shipwrecks. The ship was originally a German cargo ship built for trade with the Caribbean, but now it is one of Aruba’s most popular diving and snorkeling destinations. While the shipwreck has now been deemed too dangerous to enter, snorkelers and divers alike can explore the wreck from around and above. Make sure to take a waterproof camera to get some good shots of the wreck and capture this unique experience together.

Walk Around San Nicolaas

Situated just over 10 miles southeast of Oranjestad, San Nicolas is the second largest city in Aruba. Home to muraled walls and charming streets, San Nicolaas is a great place to walk around, observe and explore. Appreciate the impressive murals scattered around the city as well as the numerous works of street art throughout. And in case you’re feeling like you’re missing the beach again, you can take a beach break at Baby Beach or Boca Grandi, a popular destination for water-sports like kitesurfing and windsurfing. What you’ll get to experience at San Nicolaas is more of a cultural trip, where you can visit the art gallery, a few local stores, snack shacks, restaurants and bars, and beautiful historic architecture. In other words, you can get that city vacation feel just a few miles away from Oranjestad. Honeymoons are best when you get to do diverse activities and this one just adds to the mix!

Visit the Butterfly Farm

For those nature-loving, animal friendly couples, visiting the butterfly farm is a great plan. The 15 minute tour of the farm allows you to get up close and personal with the butterflies and as always, make for a great picture to capture. After the tour is done, you have access to an enclosed area full of these colorful creatures, where you’ll be able to take even more pictures and interact with them for as long as you’d like. Not only are the butterflies beautiful, but they are also gentle and calming. Definitely a nice activity to do with your significant other.

As you can see, Aruba has it all: beaches, nature, shopping, restaurants and top level accommodations. Learn more about Aruba to plan your perfect honeymoon right here.
