Home to Denver’s largest park, visitors of Washington Park will find a neighborhood filled with active young families, beautiful Victorian homes, brick bungalows and loads of Denver’s favorite residents–dogs. Washington Park allows for countless outdoor activities and is a beautiful breath of fresh air within the confines of the city. This lush park has two lakes, one which features the Washington Park Boathouse offering paddle boats rentals. Be sure to walk (or bike!) through the many exceptional flower gardens as you tour the expansive park.
Historic South Gaylord St. and South Pearl St. are the two places to hit after a day at the park for wine and cocktail bars, boutique shopping and a healthly blend of family-friendly and upscale restaurants. Both evoke wonderful community-focused charm with many neighborhood coffee shops and bakeries.
Farmers markets occur every Sunday throughout the summer making it the perfect place to spend the afternoon.
