Home to Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve and Torrey Pines Golf Course, this breathtaking area is a must visit for visitors of San Diego. The Reserve is one of just 14 units in the entire California Park System to have reserve status. A “pack it in-pack it out” policy is strictly enforced to visitors to protect the sensitive and fragile habitats inside the Reserve, including the endangered Torrey Pine tree. Open 356 days a year, guests can partake in a variety of hiking excursions, walking trails, and seasonal sights of migrating whales traveling along the coast. Torrey Pines State Beach provides a unique vantage point of hang gliders launching from the cliff-top perches.
Torrey Pines Golf Course offers two 18-hole golf courses both situated atop cliffs along the Pacific Ocean, providing golfers amazing views and classic championship golf holes. The North and South courses are both desirable rounds for golfers around the world. Torrey Pines Golf Course will host the 2021 U.S. Open Championship and annually hosts the PGA Tour’s Farmers Insurance Open.
